Plainly put, back-end marketing is the sensible way to do business. If you’re not doing a great deal of it at present, there is a good chance that your business model is leaving a lot of money on the table unnecessarily. And there’s also a great probability that you have a lot of competitors who know better-who will snap that money up-and who will ultimately put you out of business if you don’t change and fast.
Why is back-end marketing so important? Once I sat down and thought about it. I recognized lots of different reasons, but I have limited this article to only four of the many significant reasons. Next time you question if you should or shouldn’t you should apply back-end marketing, look no further than this list
1. In almost all situations, it is far cheaper to sell another product to an existing customer than it is to obtain a new customer. Some marketers estimate that it is ten times cheaper. Even if it Is not that much cheaper for you, it is still probably considerably more affordable. Therefore, do yourself a favor and change your marketing efforts to your existing customers. It will significantly cut your marketing costs.
2. Your current customers will be more inclined to pay to a higher degree than will complete strangers. This is because current customers have bought your products and have used them. They now know that you are a legitimate Internet marketer who has something of value to them. Other people don’t know this. And that’s exactly why you should endeavor to sell your higher-end products to your current consumers, rather than people you don’t know: they will be less resistant and this will produce a higher conversion rate.
3. Believe it or not, offering back-end products that are actually useful complements to your existing products will get your current customers to trust you. Rather than making you appear to be a scam artist, useful and reasonably-priced up-sales will demonstrate that you are committed to providing your customer base with all of the information they need in order to be successful marketers.
4. Providing a heavy concession using a “back-end” sale gives you a first-class means through which you will be able to re-activate “inactive” customers. You may not realize these now , but inactive customers are some of your most beneficial prospects. Although they are not currently following your product releases, they have bought from you in the past -and they might be a single email away from buying from you again in the future.
And there you have it: four solid reasons why you should apply additional back-end marketing. If you did not know this before you read the article, you’ve in all likelihood quickly identified them as advantageous reasons for using back-end marketing.
