I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but the affiliate marketing secret revealed in this ebook is that work is still needed to achieve success. Although the title, Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate, may imply to you that you need not do much, this is a misnomer. I believe he uses this because this super affiliate builds 20-30 page mini sites as opposed to multi-hundred page authority sites.
Chris Rempel lets you know this ebook is for intermediate marketers who already know the basics of getting a site live on line, what keyword research is, how to do social bookmarking, etc. You need to know basic html so you know how to make links. Not a book for total beginners unless you have other sources to learn all that and then use this book to ramp up the basics.
The ebook is broken down into seven parts followed by a resources section. An overview of each of the first five chapters is included at the end of each. Each serves as not only an overview of what was in the chapter but is a checklist of actions for following his blueprint for easy affiliate commissions.
The sixth part gives you strategies for multiplying income. It goes beyond his mini site approach and shows you how to turn this into a real business based on his “lazy affiliate” sites. And part seven is an urge to take action on the plan as that is the only way to really achieve success - whatever plan you may use.
Chris gives you a step by step plan of attack which is why this is a blueprint. He tells you what to look for in a market and how to make sure that market has what it takes to build your income. He approaches building a mini site a bit differently from others. He tells you what kinds of pages to include and how keyword research plays into this, including that there are two different types of keywords.
Next he covers the parts that make this into a business, not a hobby, which includes conversion, testing and tracking. All of the big gurus stress this and we miss out by not doing it. He gives a few different conversion points of informationI had not heard of before.
And although I really liked this ebook and learned an awful lot from it, there was one thing I disagreed with him on. That had to do with his major dislike of blogs for creating the sites. He is very concerned with control over layout so he can test for conversion and believes he cannot get this control through blogs. I believe with all the wordpress plugins available and the sidebar control, it is very possible. However, since blog pages are created dynamically, perhaps he has a point. After all, he is a super affiliate.
In the third part he discusses viral marketing and offers a traffic building method that, with a little work and brainstorming, can be used in most any niche the way he describes it. Next he covers the on page and off page factors for indexing and building traffic. Of course, as many IM leaders do today, he suggests outsourcing your work. And the fifth chapter he talks about how to increase your affiliate income with your own products. This ebook is an example of what he discusses here.
At the price of this ebook, Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate is well worth adding to your hard drive. However, just adding it to the digital dust there won’t bring you success with affiliate marketing. You will have to take what he lines out for you in the blueprint, apply it and take action. And that is the real affiliate marketing secret.
